The Only ANAC-Certified Flight Officer Programme in Portugal
A Flight Operations Officer (FOO) also known as a Flight Dispatcher in some regulatory environments is the aviation professional responsible for co-authorising and monitoring commercial flights from the ground.
Alongside the captain, the FOO is jointly responsible for the operational control of every flight they release a role that demands deep knowledge of flight planning, meteorology, airspace structure, aircraft performance, and emergency procedures.
IITA's Flight Officer Certificate is certified by ANAC the Portuguese civil aviation authority making it the formally recognised pathway to an FOO licence in Portugal. This is not a general aviation knowledge course: it is the professional qualification that the industry and the regulator require.
With an optional placement at a European air base, this programme offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world sector experience and launch a solid career.
