Student Life

This Is What It Looks Like to Build an Aviation Career.

Where the passion for aviation
is transformed into a career.
Onde a paixão pela aviação
é transformada numa carreira.
Training Built Around Real Life — Not the Other Way Around
Aviation has never needed more people. What it has needed — for a long time — is training that actually meets candidates where they are: in school, in a different career, in a different country, working full-time, or simply starting from scratch with a lot of drive and no particular head start.

IITA offers two distinct learning environments, designed around the stage of life and the type of aviation career you are pursuing. Younger students in our vocational programmes learn in person, inside an operational educational environment shaped by two decades of industry experience. Working professionals and career changers train online, in live evening sessions designed so that a career you already have does not have to pause while you build the one you want.

What both share: instructors who have done the job, content that reflects the industry as it actually operates, and a community of people who take aviation seriously.

One IITA. Two Ways to Learn.

In-Person

Vocational Education

For secondary school students in Years 10–12, IITA's in-person vocational programme is a full three-year qualification pathway — delivered inside real educational environments, shaped by active industry professionals, and approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation.

Online

Professional Certificates

For working professionals and career changers, IITA's professional certificate programmes are delivered entirely online — four live sessions per week, 18:00 to 21:00 GMT, with instructors who are currently working in the fields they teach.
A Typical Week
What the Learning Actually Looks Like
For vocational students, a week at IITA means being part of a structured programme that combines technical aviation subjects with the applied skills that employers in ground handling, ramp operations, and maintenance genuinely require. It is not abstract theory — it is the kind of learning that prepares you for a real first day in a real operation.
For online professional students, a week means four live evening sessions of three hours each — structured around case studies drawn from real aviation incidents, collaborative exercises with fellow students from across Europe, and practical assignments that mirror the challenges of your target role. Between sessions, instructors are accessible. The Saturday optional study group exists for the people who want to push further.
In both environments, what builds over the course of a programme is not just knowledge — it is the professional fluency, the operational confidence, and the industry relationships that get people hired.
Three Pillars of the IITA Experience

Industry Inside Every Session

Every IITA programme is delivered by professionals who are active in aviation — which means the knowledge in the room is current, specific, and operationally honest.

A Schedule That Works

Online sessions run 3 to 4 evenings a week. Vocational students learn in structured full-time environments. Both are designed around what students actually need — not institutional convenience.

A Network That Opens Doors

IITA actively supports every graduate in identifying and securing opportunities within our industry partner network — because the qualification matters most when it leads somewhere real.
