IITA offers two distinct learning environments, designed around the stage of life and the type of aviation career you are pursuing. Younger students in our vocational programmes learn in person, inside an operational educational environment shaped by two decades of industry experience. Working professionals and career changers train online, in live evening sessions designed so that a career you already have does not have to pause while you build the one you want.
What both share: instructors who have done the job, content that reflects the industry as it actually operates, and a community of people who take aviation seriously.
- Academic Calendar: Stay informed about important dates, events, and deadlines for your academic and extracurricular activities.
- Learning Resources: Access to study materials, practical activity guides, and other resources that will support your learning journey.
- News and Updates: Information about events, seminars, and other news related to academic life and professional development.
- Support and Guidance: Resources to help with academic questions, emotional support, and guidance on the future in aviation.

Most IITA programmes are designed for candidates without a prior aviation background. Some specialist professional certificates have recommended prerequisites — check the individual programme page for details.
IITA’s in-person vocational programmes are currently delivered through partner schools in Portugal.
Live attendance is central to how the programmes work — interaction, discussion, and peer learning are not incidental. Please contact us if your circumstances require flexibility, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Your programme tutor is accessible between sessions and IITA’s student support team is available throughout your enrolment. Nobody is left to figure it out alone.
IITA actively supports graduates in identifying and pursuing opportunities within our industry partner network. We do not make guarantees — but close to 100% of graduates enter relevant employment, and that is not accidental.
“I chose IITA because of the internship component – as it allows us to enter the job market and gain experience earlier – and also because of the high employability rate.”
“I chose IITA because I’ve always liked the aviation field, especially the passenger aviation area. This is what I wanted to do for my career, and IITA’s Ground Handling Operations Programme at EP Gondomar was the right choice.”
