Founded in 2012 in the United Kingdom, IITA is a pioneering Aviation Technical-Professional Institute in Portugal since 2022. Our focus is on attracting, training, and retaining the next generation of aviation professionals. IITA qualifications include vocational courses (from 10th to 12th grade), technical specializations, mentoring, national and international internships, technological resources, immersive experiences, and guaranteed access to recruitment and selection opportunities.

FOUNDATION

2012

IITA is a pioneer and specialist in vocational aviation training. Our focus is on attracting, training, and retaining the next generation of aviation professionals. Founded in 2012 in the United Kingdom, IITA UK has trained over 200 graduates in technical specializations in Ground Operations, working with schools and academies – Kingston College, Fight for Peace Academy, London Design and Engineering, Shanghai Aviation Service School (Shanghai) – and industry partners such as SHP, Menzies, and Swissport. In 2022, it was founded in Portugal, and qualifications include vocational courses (from 10th to 12th grade) and specializations.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

With a team of experienced and up-to-date operational trainers, we develop professional courses and specializations that fully meet academic requirements and industry needs and standards, focusing on an immersive experience.

PLANNED SCHOOLS

Currently with 5 vocational schools across the country and islands, and 20 planned by 2026, IITA works in collaboration with educational entities and industry to provide students and graduates with an active and integrative methodology. IITA's vocational courses, specializations, and qualifications include mentoring, national and international internships, and technological resources, in an area with 100% employability.

Our Methodology

Vocational Education

Any student, after the 9th grade, can choose a vocational school in their area of residence and enroll in two vocational courses approved by the Ministry of Education, which IITA makes available to these schools. This allows them to embrace the world of aviation and complete the 12th grade with dual certification, enabling them to immediately enter the aviation field or progress to higher education.

Specializations

IITA promotes training on current aviation topics such as Aviation Cybersecurity, Aviation Sustainability, Aeronautical English, Aviation Network Management, but also training in behavioral areas such as Operational Leadership, Mentoring, Team Management, Communication with International Entrepreneurs, Project Management and Marketing in Air Transport.

Virtual school

IITA is preparing higher-level qualifications at the bachelor's, postgraduate, and MBA levels, which are awaiting approval, and which allow IITA alumni, or any other student, to enroll in these programs.
