Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

This course is designed for cabin crew preparing to enter commercial airline employment. It is suited to cabin crew members holding a valid attestation. If you have the qualification but have not yet secured an airline position, this course is designed for you.

Modern European airline selection processes are structured, multi-stage assessments designed to evaluate both technical knowledge and behavioural competencies. While specific processes vary by carrier, candidates typically encounter psychometric testing (numerical, verbal, and abstract reasoning), group exercises assessing crew resource management (CRM) behaviours, competency-based interviews, HR and motivational interviews. Understanding what each stage assesses, and how to demonstrate the required competencies, is the foundation of effective preparation.

No prior commercial airline experience is required. You do need to hold the foundational qualification for your intended role — a cabin crew attestation — but this course is specifically designed to bridge the gap between holding a qualification and successfully navigating the selection process that leads to your first airline position.

No. This course is dedicated to preparation for Flight Crew selection and recruitment processes. If you are a pilot, we recommend taking a look at the Pilot Recruitment and Selection Preparation Course.

Competency-based interviews require candidates to provide specific, structured examples of past behaviour as evidence of key competencies. IITA’s coaching teaches you how to identify the relevant experiences in your background, structure your answers using recognised frameworks, and communicate your competencies in the precise language that airline assessors are trained to evaluate. Preparation in this area alone significantly improves performance across the entire selection process.

Generic interview coaching is designed for standard corporate recruitment. This programme is built around the specific structure, content, and assessment criteria used by European airlines. IITA’s instructors maintain active, current knowledge of how airline selection processes are designed and conducted — meaning your preparation reflects what is actually happening in the market today, not a generalised version of what an assessment centre might look like.

No preparation course can guarantee a job offer, and we will not claim otherwise. What this course does is remove the most significant barrier to success: going into a structured airline assessment without understanding what is being assessed or how to demonstrate it. Candidates who have prepared specifically for airline selection processes perform measurably better at every stage — not because they are better pilots or cabin crew, but because they are better prepared.

This is a preparation course, not a qualification — it does not in itself certify you for a role. Its purpose is to maximise your performance in airline selection processes, which in turn opens doors to positions with European network carriers (including TAP Air Portugal, Lufthansa Group, Air France-KLM, and IAG), low-cost carriers (Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air, and Vueling), and charter airlines operating across Europe. Salaries for flight crew roles in Europe typically range from €30,000 to €70,000 per year, depending on aircraft type, carrier, and seniority.
