AERONAUTICAL ENGLISH – FOR PILOTS AND FOO

ICAO Language Proficiency is not just a licence requirement — it is a safety standard that the industry takes seriously at every level.
The Language Standard That Keeps Airspace Safe
Aviation's worst accidents have had language at their centre.
ICAO established Language Proficiency Requirements specifically because miscommunication between flight crew and air traffic control costs lives and the evidence was overwhelming. Today, ICAO LPR Level 4 is the minimum international standard for professional pilots operating on international routes.
IITA's Aeronautical English programme for pilots and flight operations officers develops competence across all six ICAO language proficiency descriptors pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and interaction so that you can meet Level 4, 5, or 6 as your licence and your career require.
With an optional placement at a European air base, this programme offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world sector experience and launch a solid career.

✈️ Structure Grammatically reliable communication under workload and pressure
✈️ Vocabulary ICAO standard and plain English vocabulary for normal and abnormal operations
✈️ Fluency Communication that does not require reformulation or repair under operational conditions
